Hello and Welcome to our photo journal covering our year long journey around Australia.
We will be adding photos to this gallery regularly - so keep checking!

10th March - We are home, kind of unpacked and looking forward to seeing all of our lovely friends again! After we left Mildura we headed to Echucha where we experienced some pretty hot weather (due to good planning our caravan park had a great shaded pool). We went for a paddlesteamer cruise on the Murray, Max and Sue did a horsedrawn stagecoach tour of the town, we ate out at a yummo italian restaurant and also savoured some delicious icecream (complete with a mist fan which we had to drag Jill away from!). After Echuca we drove to Bendigo to see our lovely friends who we met in WA - Heidi, Adrian, Dasha and Loki - it was so great to see them again! Then it was 'home' to Wagga (in the pouring rain!) where we caught up with Sue's relatives and a few friends before driving to the farm at Humula for our last camp...it was a bit melancholy actually to be packing away our life from the past year!

20 February
Sheesh! We are in Mildura as of today, what a lovely town it is! We have set up by the Murray River, on the NSW side and have had a lovely afternoon fishing (for carp) and watching the paddle boats cruise by. We spent the past 2 days at Menindee Lakes, exploring Kinchega NP (which had a fabulous old shearing shed that once had about 62 stands.) and cooling off at Menindee pool! It has been hot! Before Menindee we spent a fun 6 days in Broken Hill where we did lots! To name a few things, we did a tour of the Daydream Mine, visited Mundi Mundi plain, had a drink at the Silverton pub and Palace Hotel (out of Priscilla), went to the miners’ memorial, went to a mining museum and saw heaps of cool rocks and also checked out the local pool and as a bonus Axel and I got to go for our first bike ride together for ages – bless Nana Jill! Max has been loving having Jill with us (as have we).

This is our 1994 '80' Series Toyota Diesel Landcruiser (name Elsie - or 'LC') and our off-road Blue Tongue camper trailer (called 'Bluey'). This photo was taken on the Merricumbene fire trail in the Deua National Park near Bendethera in December 2010. We recently added a Turbo-charger, Intercooler and 3 inch exhaust system to LC which more than doubled it's power and made it around 15% more fuel efficient.
'LC' has spent quite a bit of time in this position over the past year as various modifications and maintenance took place to prepare him for the epic journey ahead.
Max and two of his best buddies (Hugo and Aden) the day before we departed.
In the driveway and ready to go. We managed to almost get away on time. Hope we haven't forgotten anything!
One last photo opportunity in Canberra (on the Federal Hwy).
